OK, I know it’s been a while… What can I say? I’ve been keeping myself busy. Nothing really fun outside of a couple of camping trips mind you, but busy nonetheless.
So speaking of keeping busy, here’s a little recommendation (a la Sean’s recent little recommendationathon). Keep in mind I don’t have a list of five right now, but for those of you using OS X, it’s a doozey. It’s not new - in fact, I’ve toyed around with it before when it first came out a while ago. But as I’ve been feeling guilty about not posting earlier, I figured I’d get some multitasking in tonight. Check out Trans Lucy. Now, I know what you might be thinking: “Hey, Brian lives in the San Francisco Bay Area, there’s something having to do with ‘trans’ - I’m not interested!”
Cool! I’m downloading the trial as I type this. Thanks for the tip! Can’t wait to test it out.

Man, this sounds… TERRIBLE! I can’t even work with spoken word in the background (though I have music playing constantly), let alone video. And video in the foreground, overlaying what I’m trying to concentrate on? When I’m ready to watch a movie, it’s all about the movie. Put my feet up, dim the lights, and get immersed.
All I can say is that human brains are wired very differently from one another.
But it IS a cool idea!

Yeah Scot, I suppose people’s brains do tend to vary in their wiring; I actually like to have something playing in the background when I’m just playing around (if I’m seriously working, then I can’t do anything more than music). And if it’s a movie or something I haven’t seen before (or really want to watch), I’ll give it my full attention (feet up, dim lights and everything).
It’s worth trying out for the novelty at the very least Scot - just another testament of how cool things on OS X can be…
